About Shri Vardhman Jagruti Yuvak Mandal


Since past 37 years, Shri Vardhman Jagruti Yuvak Mandal (Regd.) - Parel TT under the banner of "Shri Mahavir Khichdi Ghar" daily provides 4 Fruits namely Apple, Dadam, Mousambi & Banana, 4 Chapattis, 250ml. Milk, one hot snack (everyday different namely Upma, Moong Bhat, Dryfruit Khir, Poha, Lapsi made from pure ghee) to more than 700 cancer patients.
The organisation, Shri Vardhman Jagruti Yuvak Mandal,commonly known as "Shri Mahavir Khichdi Ghar" caters to the needs of approx. 700 people every day. Anniversaries, Birthdays and other occasions become reasons to share with the needy. Along with food, donors distribute utensils, plastic ware, umbrellas, blankets and other useful items to make lives easier for these people. The queue starts at 7 am and distribution is over by 9am. The patients are free before the hospital opens its doors for them and the volunteers are free to commence their daily routine at work.
The group has also started distributing free medicines andhelping with hospital bills to the extremely needy cases. Virubhai Gada, one of the key members, regularly visits the hospital to gather information about the cases and verify the genuineness of each case before financial aid is made available.

MEDICAL HELP
We deposit in patient's trust account every month from 5000 to 30,000 for their chemo therapy, operations & medicines. More than 200 patients in a month are benefitted.

FUTURE MISSION
We intend to extend medical help to the extent of Rs. 25000 per patient. We hereby appeal to all our generous donors to give us maximum donation so that our mission is successful.

This is a request to individuals, buisness houses, corporates, trusts, NGO's to donate to our establishment as we are working 24/7 and 365 days for various well known hospitals in Parel - Mumbai, namely Tata Hospital, Kem Hospital, Wadia Children Hospital and Wadia Maternity Hospital. To provide hygienic food, medicine and help for operation and rehabilitation, we require more funds to cover all these needs for new patients on a daily basis.
